WASHINGTON — Saks Fifth Avenue will open another outlet store in Northern Virginia this summer, with plans for an OFF 5th store at Fair Lakes Center.
The 22,000-square-foot store will open in August, one of two OFF 5th stores opening in Washington this year. OFF 5th stores cater to shoppers it says like “the thrill-of-the-hunt.” The outlet stores are generally stocked with new merchandise arriving daily.
In April, Saks 5th Avenue announced plans to open a 33,000-square-foot OFF 5th store in downtown D.C., at 555 12th St. NW in the historic Thurman Arnold Building that was home to a Barnes & Noble store until it closed last year. It will open in September.
That location will be the first OFF 5th store in the District, and will be next door to a 37,000-square-foot Nordstrom Rack store, opening later this fall.
Saks has other OFF 5th outlet stores in Tysons Corner, Leesburg, Chevy Chase and Potomac Mills.
